Dispatcher

Our Dispatchers assure all routes are filled as assigned and bus operators are provided with timely instructions and responses to requests for operational information throughout the day. Responds to customer and team inquires.

Responsibilities:

  • Responds to customer inquires and needs in a timely manner. Serves as intake person for customer complaints/ commendations and sells bus passes.

  • Resolves problems by working with carrier dispatchers.

  • Processes route openings, insertions, extensions and issue resolution.

  • Authorizes trips outside of Transit services when necessary.

  • Schedules alternative rides for passengers

  • Uses computer system to retrieve scheduled information. Uses reference material to quickly and accurately determine the best method to assist client.

  • Provides excellent customer service to passengers.

  • Completes a variety of daily reports and clerical duties.

  • Provides bus schedule information to phone and walk-in customers.

  • Answers and directs calls to appropriate personnel.

  • Farebox Removal and Reconciliation.

  • Selling of Bus passes and reconciliation.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Customer Service/ Call Center experience required.

  • Must satisfactorily complete two-week training program.

  • Knowledge of basic and multi-task computer operation in a Windows environment
